Assistant
Our Pharmacy Assistant Program provides both the technical and practical skills
required to serve under a licensed pharmacist. Our curriculum
is based on the competencies and outcomes set by the National Association of
Pharmacy Regulatory Authorities (NAPRA), Canadian Pharmacy Technician
Educators Association (CPTEA) and the Ontario College of Pharmacists.
40 Week
Diploma Program
Computer skills necessary in pharmacy practice will be utilized
and both pharmaceutical and medical terminology will be covered.
In conjunction with a representative from the Ontario College
of Pharmacists, local pharmacists, program co-coordinator and
instructors, our program has achieved a high standard of education
in both representatives in the field, and other health professionals for specialized
areas. Our instructors possess specific education and experience
in the courses they teach.
The Pharmacy Assistant program has 4 weeks of placement in a retail environment. This placement is a mandatory component of the
program. .
