President's
Message
Words
from the President Carlos A. Carvalho, CNE
President/CEO
"The
future belongs to those who are prepared for
change, those who are focused, and those who
are technically skilled."
The
dynamics of technology, competition and access
to information are redefining the workplace,
as we know it today. As companies restructure
themselves to meet the new challenges and
become more competitive, the jobs they provide
will also be redefined. The multi-skilled,
independent individual capable of performing
a variety of tasks is needed today and will
be in greater demand in the future.
Those
embracing the challenges of the knowledge-based
economy will succeed, and those who disregard
them will be left behind. For students, this
means adopting an inquiring mind and a positive
attitude about lifelong learning.
To
function in this emerging environment, each
of us as individuals will have to build on
our knowledge base and expand on the skills
that we have acquired through experience.
To start the journey to acquire new skills,
we need to assess our assets, determine our
areas of interest and select the training
required to succeed.
At
Canadian Career College we are prepared to
work with you to help you acquire the skills
you need for your future, based on the following
three principals.
1.
Education: Education that focuses on the needs
of the business community and the skills required
by each individual for future career advancements.
2.
Ethics: We are committed to excellence in
education, training and skills development.
As an educational institution, we strive to
maintain the highest standards.
3.
Environment: We believe that a good environment
is important for a student's performance.
I hope you will enjoy receiving our quarterly
newsletter and from all of us at the Canadian
Career College we wish you a Prosperous Year.
