Developmental Service Worker Program
You are a caring and empathetic person who wants a career where you will provide many types of assistance to people and their families in the community. You want to work with persons with developmental disabilities and work toward making their lives enriching and exciting.
Our 52 week diploma program, that includes two 125 hour placements, will prepare graduates for work in a wide range of social service settings, such as community agencies, non-profit organizations, outreach homes, educational environments, recreational centres, hospitals, seniors’ centres and in respite care settings, among other places.
There has been a consistent need for developmental service workers to assist people of different ages in these diverse environments.
